Post-doctoral positions 2009/2010
The Group of Mathematical Physics of the University of LIsbon, Portugal, invites applications for a research post-doctoral position in Mathematics.
Positions are for one year, starting between September 2009 and February 2010, with the possibility of extension for a second year upon mutual agreement and subject to budgetary approval. The salary is 17940 euros/year (tax free) and there are no teaching duties associated with the position.
Job description
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Mathematics (or equivalent) obtained after January 1, 2006, and they must show very strong research promise in one of the areas where the group is active, namely:
- Computer simulation of complex systems
- Dynamical systems
- Euclidean quantum mechanics
- Feynman integrals
- Geometric methods in probability
- Integrable systems
- Quantum geometry and quantum gravity
- Spectral theory
- Stochastic analysis
- Topological quantum field theory
