Introduction to the ODE/IM correspondence

I will introduce the ODE/IM correspondence, a method to obtain the Q-functions and Bethe Ansatz equations of a quantum theory starting from purely classical data. I will present this method in the simple case of six-vertex model and, if time allows it, I will show how it can be applied to 2D Toda field theories of the ADE series giving an example for the Bullough-Dodd model.
