Post-doctoral position in Mathematics

The Group of Mathematical Physics of the University of LIsbon, Portugal, invites applications for a research post-doctoral position in Mathematics (project: Probabilistic approach to finite and infinite dimensional dynamical systems, PTDC/MAT/104173/2008)

The Group of Mathematical Physics of the University of Lisbon, Portugal, invites applications for one research post-doctoral position in Mathematics within the scope of the Portuguese Science Foundation project "Probabilistic approach to finite and infinite dimensional dynamical systems" (PTDC/MAT/104173/2008).

Positions are for one year, starting before the end of 2010, with the possibility of extension for a second year upon mutual agreement and budget approval. The salary is 17940 euros/year (tax free), and there are no teaching duties associated with the position.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Mathematics (or equivalent) obtained preferably after January 1, 2007, and must show very strong research promise in one of the relevant areas for the project, namely:

  • Stochastic Analysis
  • Infinite dimensional Geometry

Please send a curriculum vitae, reprints, preprints, dissertation abstract, and a research statement (of no more than 1,000 words) to
