The Group of Mathematical Physics of the University of Lisbon, a research unit of the Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa Portugal, invites applications for a research post-doctoral positions in Mathematics within the scope of the following Portuguese Science Foundation project:
"PDE and probability in Mathematical
The position is for 6 months, starting the 1 August 2014. No possibility of extension. There are no teaching duties associated with the position. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Mathematics (or equivalent) obtained preferably after January 1, 2011, and must show very strong research promise in one of the relevant areas for the project:
- Probability and Stochastic Analysis;
- Probabilistic methods in PDE;
- Mathematical Physics.
The fellowship amounts to € 1.495/month, according to table of values for the scholarships awarded directly by the FCT, IP. (http://www.fct.pt/apoios/bolsas/valores). The grant holder will have a personal accident insurance.
Candidates will be assessed by the quality of their CV (50%), proximity between the work plan and the objectives of the project (30%) and letter of motivation and Skype interview (20%).
