# Group of Mathematical Physics

Our basic aim is to develop rigorous mathematical methods motivated by problems in modern Theoretical Physics. This is not only about making rigorous what physicists already know, but about providing them with new tools and ideas inspired by the most recent developments in the Mathematical Sciences.

GFM has been involved in the organization of European Study Groups with Industry in Portugal.

The topics currently developed by the GFM members belong to the following domains:

### Advisory Board

Prof. Dr.
**Philippe Blanchard** (Univ. Bielefeld,
Germany)

Prof. Dr. **Sergio
Albeverio** (Univ. Bonn, Germany)

*GFM welcomes applications of
excellent candidates for PhD and for post-doctoral positions. These
applications are open to all candidates, independently of nationality
