Bethe ansatz and Schubert calculus

I will discuss the relation between the algebraic Bethe ansatz for quantum integrable models and Schubert calculus in algebraic geometry discovered in the last five years. This relation turns out to be important and fruitful in both directions. The remarkable consequence is the completeness of the Bethe ansatz for the Gaudin model associated with the Lie algebra glN and for the XXX spin-1/2 Heisenberg model.
