Hardy's uncertainty principle and the Wigner transform

We begin by recalling Hardy's uncertainty principle for a function and its Fourier transform. We thereafter show that this uncertainty principle is actually equivalent to a statement on Wigner's distribution. This opens the way to a non-trivial phase space uncertainty principle.
