Geometrical views on the Nehari manifold

Critical points of some classical Euler-Lagrange functionals related to

-Δu = f(u)

belong to an hypersurface of H¹₀(Ω), the so-called Nehari manifold. In this talk we present a description of it using elementary tools of differential geometry. Also, we analise the behaviour of "angular decreasing" flows in the case where f is homogeneous. Our results reflect an intermediate stage of research.
